OpenAI video generation tool Sora is here! ChatGPT Plus and Pro members are available, and the paid plan can be understood at once

OpenAI released the text-to-video model Sora for ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Pro users on Monday. Sora users can generate movies based on text prompts, animated images, remixed videos, and more. Although the rollout in Europe and the UK may be delayed, the tool is currently available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro members in the US and many other countries.

Sora offers two membership options to meet different customer needs. ChatGPT Plus costs US$ 50 per month and provides priority video generation of up to 50 videos in 720p resolution, up to 5 seconds in length. Meanwhile, ChatGPT Pro costs US$ 200 per month and offers unlimited video generation, up to 500 priority videos in 1080p resolution, and a maximum length of 20 seconds.

Sora offers many sophisticated tools designed to improve film production. Using text input, users can create movies, animate stills, and remix the current movie based on descriptive language prompts. Additional features include storyboarding to produce coherent film sequences, photo-to-film conversion, and scene merging to combine two film scenes into one.

Sora becomes a powerful tool for OpenAI to compete with Meta and Google

Rohan Sahai, OpenAI's Sora product lead, said during the live broadcast: "OpenAI obviously has a big goal. The company needs to prevent illegal use of the technology, but we also want to balance this with creative expression."

All movies created by Sora have obvious watermarks and C2PA information. Users must adhere to content restrictions that do not include children, explicit content, violent content, or copyrighted content. Violating the guidelines may result in account suspension.

OpenAI hopes to use Sora to compete with text-to-video AI generators from companies such as Meta and Google. To increase accessibility and customization options, OpenAI plans to offer customized pricing for different user categories early next year. The release of Sora highlights OpenAI's commitment to developing audiovisual content powered by artificial intelligence with ethics and user safety first.

Meta announced its new video and audio AI model Movie Gen on October 4, while Google launched Lumiere in January. AI startup Stability AI also launched a similar product called table Video Diffusion. Amazon's Create with Alexa can generate children's animations based on text commands. Short film.
